Pregnancy Update| Week 29

Hey Guys, another pregnancy update:

I just took the OGTT yesterday (a day earlier than what we originally planned). The procedure was available in Medical City's branch in Walter Mart, which is convenient. It costs 1190php which is the same price (more or less) as the last time I took it in 2012. They open at 8:00 am and you have to use the entrance at the side of their covered parking area.

I got there a little over 8:00 am and I was 4th in line in the laboratory section.

My OGTT drink at 75g.

They will get your blood 3 times, first is before you drink the beverage. The next 2 is an hour and two hours after you drank it. Thumbs up to the nurse/med tech (?) who took my blood. I did not bruise for the first time, yay! The result was supposed to be ready by 6:00 pm but we have to go out and pick up Amah (grandma) in Quezon City. By the time we got to Walter Mart, they're already closed (8:00 pm).

Anyway, I was able to get the results today.

Results.

Yay! I passed! Barely on the first hour but still. I'm still determined to go on diet so I won't get as big (or at least the baby) as my previous pregnancy. So, the only thing left on my list of to do before my next check up is the following:
  • Urinalysis
  • Ultrasound (week 31)
  • Check up with a Hematologist
Hopefully, I can get all these accomplished before end of next week.

Another update is that I've uploaded my first ever youtube video. Yay! Nay? I dunno. LoL. Let me know what you think :) (sorry, the video is in Tag-lish).

Pregnancy Update| Week 28

Two blog posts today, yay!!!

I will be on my 29th week by tomorrow and I still haven't done my OGTT. Ugh. We've been busy with the holidays and then the Pope coming to Manila. Oh well, the husband promised to bring me to the hospital by Thursday to get it done.

Aside from OGTT, my new OB (Dra. Jocelyn Laygo), asked me to do a urinalysis, ultrasound and visit a Hematologist. I've been diagnosed with Thalassemia in 2008 so she wants to be sure that I won't need extra care for when I give birth.

The reason we changed OB is that my previous one won't be available on my due date and is already set on me delivering via scheduled CS. I was aiming to have VBAC this time as suggested by my OB from Cebu. So, I'm pretty happy that we have to change since Dra. Laygo encouraged me to go into labor first and try to go for NSD. I will keep you updated on that one.

I will doing restaurant food reviews next so stay tuned :)

Introduction

I was planning to get a blog meant for my "food trips." Then I saw that I was already registered to blogger.com since 2012. Oooooops, my bad. I think I created this to log my thoughts as a newly wed. Hmmmm...

Anyway, I will be posting or at least try to post regularly about the restaurants that we've (husband and I) tried and will try. I will also be posting some mommy stuff or anything related to becoming/being a mom.

I do hope I can keep this up. Wish me luck ;)
